CG Motors Launches King Long 16-Seater EV with Segment-First Blade Battery in Nepal

CG Motors has officially introduced the all-new 16-seater electric van from King Long in Nepal, bringing a segment-first combination of capacity, performance, and battery technology to the commercial EV space.

The highlight of the new model is its 75.41 kWh Blade Battery — a first in this segment — engineered to offer enhanced safety, longer lifecycle, and improved driving range. This advanced battery system is expected to significantly boost operational reliability, particularly for high-utilisation passenger transport applications, says the company.

According to CG Motors, the launch aligns with Nepal’s increasing demand for eco-friendly, efficient, and cost-effective public transportation solutions. The company also underscored its growing EV ecosystem, which currently includes over 5,000 units sold, more than 260 charging stations, 20 service centres, and a 14-dealer network nationwide.
